![]() Ivy, a young village girl, and Sprout, her devoted korgi, stray from the village one afternoon to find themselves in a strange part of the valley where they find what appears to be a crashed flying saucer and a cryptic stone carving of giant spiders chasing a korgi. Summary: In a small village among the trees, people live alongside their korgis, magical canines that reach horse-like sizes and help them (they also bear a striking resemblance to our Pembroke Welsh Corgis). ![]() Its theme isn’t super well defined, but it could be said it might be the classic “finding your strengths.”Īnnotation: An adventure story about a young girl and her magical korgi as they battle trolls, explore forgotten lands, and learn to fly. Genre and Theme: This is a fantasy adventure book. However, given the complexity of the story and the length, second through fourth graders (though it was definitely interesting to some older readers, too). Reading and Interest Level: Being that it is wordless (save for a small introduction in the beginning), it doesn’t exactly have a reading level. ![]()
